Do you know that your child may be suffering from one of the many psychological or neurotic disorders, which is affecting his studies and preventing him from using his potentials to the optimum level? There are several disorders, which are until recently, never known to have existed, and the victims of such disorders have been subjected to unnecessary humiliations and insults and of course undeserved failures. A recent study shows that every one out of six students have some kind of disorder.
The best time to diagnose and arrest such dismal activities is of course right at the onset of a child’s academic career, when the child is most vulnerable to such disorders and when these disorders are most easy to detect. The most common disorder is dyslexia and dysgraphia. Dyslexia is the inability to differentiate between two distinct shapes and slow perception of speed, size and direction, this disorder generally creeps in when a child is learning to read. Whereas dysgraphia is a disorder, where a child is unable write at different level, even if he can read the letters perfectly, needles to say it creeps in generally when a child is just learning to write.
There are endless numbers of such disorder, which can be, encountered during the academic life of a child when he is in the route of learning. These disorders, can be detected, feasibly only by the teachers when they are teaching. Though being very common, but the awareness about such disorders is pretty low, that’s why nowadays teachers are getting vocational classes on such psychological problems, about their detection and elimination.
