Urdu- a musical journey

Perhaps Urdu is the most musical language. Its Ghazals, nazams, and Sufi poetry and music are among the most admired music’s in world. Once you hear an Urdu Ghazal, you will be unconsciously directed to a long emotional, sentimental, and philosophical journey. 

Its way of expressing feelings that strikes its audiences’ mind instantly. Urdu poetry is rich of these mind simulating ghazals and nazams. Urdu Poetry is fortunate enough that it has the rich treasurer of writings from the poets like Mirza Ghalib, a most admired and respected poet of Urdu, Mir etc. It is the premier language of poetry in South Asian sub continent. For over two centuries, it has developed a rich tradition in a variety of poetic genres—like ghazals and nazams.

While the ‘Ghazal’ in Urdu represents the most popular form of subjective poetry, the ‘Nazam’ represents the objective kind. These spices have an old world aura about their subject and style. Another kind of poetry is Sher-o-Shayari

One of the sectors that is most influenced by Urdu language is Indian film industry, Bollywood. The biggest film industry in world–the Indian film industry based in Mumbai has been influenced in many ways, from music to dialogue delivery. The language used in Bollywood movies uses a vocabulary that is easy to understand by Urdu and Hindi speakers alike. It uses many Urdu songs, ghazals, nazams, and dialogues.

It uses the easy terminology in order to reach the largest possible audience.
