Used Bladecenter Was The Way To Go
We were hoping to find a used bladecenter server in the last computer store we stopped at for the day. I think that we had been to at least fifteen different stores that day. Our computer guy told us that we should just install a used bladecenter into our new office because we were not going to put much demand on it, and buying a new one would be a waste of money.
I had already priced a few pseries servers that were top of the line, which I thought would be what we would need. The pseries servers had numerous bays but our computer guy said that we would not even need half of what the new pseries servers offered so we should spend that money elsewhere within the office.
We had figured up the budget to have the state of the art computer equipment and a little less cheaper furniture. With the cost of what a used bladecenter was going to run, we would be able to get much nicer furniture than we had originally picked out. I upgraded all the chairs to leather instead of cloth and the tables to cherry instead of pine.
We ended up ordering the used bladecenter server online and it has worked great for about two years now.
