Recycle Old Jewelries

Tried to sell old gold?

My sister and I always enjoyed looking at the old antiques from my great-great grandma’s jewelry box. When we both became teenagers, we were so happy when mom opened up the box and asked us which we would like to have. I chose an old necklace with a brilliant ruby pendant, while my sister took grandma’s dazzling amber earrings. It’s something that we show off to our friends whenever they hang out in our house. We cherished those antiques, but now that the gold has faded and the jewelries unpolished, they seem to have lost their spark, and we both seem to have lost our liking for it. It’s been ten years since those jewelries have been given to us, and now we have neglected them. She told me we could sell jewelry for a change, so that the old gold would be put to use again. I liked that idea.

She told me to find buyers online rather than go to the local stores—we could get more value from them. We got our appraised and were happy when we saw how much the jewelry was worth. My great-great grandma’s antiques might have lost their luster, but not their use. I know somehow, they will be refurbished again.
