It is one of the benefits when you have a file storage system at your company’s disposal and it really makes file archiving a breeze. When the company first purchased a storage system a few years ago, it solved our problem in regards to the difficulties that we had, in keeping backups for the files that we currently have. The last time I checked our file system, I was shocked when I found out that it still has a lot of free space left in it. I had dinner with my high school friends a week ago. It was the first time that we ever saw each after a couple of years. In girl hours, it is like a decade to forever. We were all smiles, and laughter and stories and gossips. However, one of our friends came late. She said that she had to fix a several problems in her office, before his boss will find out. When we asked, he said that one of their utility persons broke one of their Cisco Catalyst Switches. She said that these switches are very vital in the daily transaction of their company as internet is used all the time. And it is so obvious that their utility person cannot afford to buy a new one.

When we asked her how she fixed the problem, she said that she paid for the new unit. We were shocked. We did not know that she was already as rich as that. She just laughed and told us that she did not spend so much for it because she only bought a Used Cisco switch to replace the broken one. Oh well, we don’t really care as long as she was able to make it to our get-together dinner.

I was so happy to finally have found the perfect building to open up my new coffee shop. I signed the lease two months ago and have been getting it ready ever since. I had some trouble getting some affordable poweredge servers and that set us back about two weeks. Used sun hardware is hard to find in the local shops, but online, it is a different story. I knew that when the biggest used sun equipment store closed two years ago, that I was going to have to look online for the parts we would need if any of the servers went down. The fact that I am prepared and have found a site that offers used sun equipment has made it a little easier to think about.

Prior to having sun servers, we had a brand that was hard to find used parts for. When I asked my boss why the only brand of servers he ever bought was dell, he told me that he knew that they were reliable. I do not know how he knows they are reliable since he never sees the computer guys coming to fix them or paying any repair bills either. The computer department is in charge of keeping the dell servers up and running no matter what.

If they cannot fix the server then they are told that they should just buy a used dell server to replace anything that is not up to par. I have seen ten different dell servers being replaced over the last five years. Now, I am not sure if it is because they are used a lot or if the repair man does not know what he is doing. I would bet that maybe the used dells servers that they put in, are possibly already on their last leg and they got them so cheap that it does not matter how long they last since they can always install another one.

I may have to start reading up on the used dell servers online, and see what kind of rating they really get, I wonder if my boss just has stock in dell or something and that is why he only buys that brand.

Used Bladecenter Was The Way To Go

We were hoping to find a used bladecenter server in the last computer store we stopped at for the day. I think that we had been to at least fifteen different stores that day. Our computer guy told us that we should just install a used bladecenter into our new office because we were not going to put much demand on it, and buying a new one would be a waste of money.

I had already priced a few pseries servers that were top of the line, which I thought would be what we would need. The pseries servers had numerous bays but our computer guy said that we would not even need half of what the new pseries servers offered so we should spend that money elsewhere within the office.

We had figured up the budget to have the state of the art computer equipment and a little less cheaper furniture.
